Michael Henderson – Fall 2020 Online MBA Cohort

What I appreciate most about the online learning system is that I can go at my own pace. The program is very convenient and flexible, with the bonus of still being able to participate in the Global Business International Trip!”

Michael Henderson is a Fall 2020 Online MBA student, as well as Demand Generation Specialist at GE Appliances. Being able to adjust his education to his schedule while still getting the full MBA experience and knowledge is important to Michael, as well as many other business professionals. Besides balancing work and education, Michael also has a family so flexible coursework is crucial.

Michael

As to what made Michael know now is the time to pursue an MBA, “Going from job to job after I earned my bachelor’s and COVID-19 hitting, I knew the summer of 2020 was my time to hit the ground running…” The need for both solidity and growth in his professional career – especially during this rapidly changing work landscape – is a reason we hear frequently as to why students choose to get their MBA.

Michael’s advice for professionals debating on furthering their education or career – “Whatever it is that you want to do work wise, education wise, do it! Don’t let anybody or anything stop you from that. My mother died at a very young age, [and] I had my daughter [during] my sophomore year at UofL. I use my past work experiences, personal experiences, and my four-year-old daughter as motivation to keep going and achieve everything in front of me!”
