Find Your Community with UofL’s Online MBA Program

One of the common shortcomings of an online degree is the lack of community-building. Many pursuing an online graduate degree often prioritize completion speed for to grow their careers, but consequently, these students miss out on some of the socialization and networking opportunities available to those in traditional or seated programs. An important component of education is creating bonds with classmates; learning and growing with those in your cohort.

This key element—creating bonds with your cohort members and professional colleagues—was taken into close consideration when constructing our 100% online MBA program, ensuring that while you may be online, you are not alone.

Our online MBA offers some unique incentives designed to make your degree a memorable experience, and not just another step you take on the path to success. Besides growing close with your MBA working group members, you can benefit from shared experiences like:

  • Welcome and orientation week: start your program off on the same page as everyone else in your cohort with a special welcome box and orientation in your first week of classes.
  • 10-Day international business trip: make memories that will last a lifetime by traveling to locations around the world with your cohort members!

Celebrating Social Worker Appreciation Month

Celebrating Social Worker Appreciation Month

Every March, we celebrate Social Worker Appreciation Month, a time to recognize and honor the dedicated professionals who work tirelessly to support individuals, families and communities in need. Social workers play a crucial role in our society, providing essential services and tirelessly advocating for positive change.

At the heart of social work is a deep commitment to improving the well-being of others. Social workers are compassionate, empathetic and resourceful professionals who work across various settings, including healthcare, schools, non-profit organizations and government agencies. They serve diverse populations, addressing issues such as mental health, substance abuse, poverty, domestic violence and more.

Social workers not only address immediate crises but also focus on long-term solutions and empowerment. They collaborate with clients to identify strengths, set goals and access resources that promote resilience and positive outcomes.

As we celebrate Social Worker Appreciation Month, let’s take a moment to thank social workers for their unwavering dedication, compassion, and professionalism. Whether they provide counseling, case management, advocacy or community organizing, their contributions make a profound difference in the lives of those they serve. Let’s honor and support social workers as they continue to be champions of positive change and social justice.

In conjunction with Social Worker Appreciation Month, we are excited to highlight our online Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) and Doctor of Social Work (DSW) programs from Kent School of Social Work and Family Science. Our online programs offer flexible learning options for aspiring social workers, allowing you to pursue your education while balancing work, family and other commitments.
